Sleep Habits – “Antique Mall”

/

Described as “a song about the power of a physical space,” “Antique Mall” is a memorable new track from Sleep Habits. The project of New Orleans-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Alan Howard captivates here with a dreamy folk intrigue, charming especially in the approach to the two-minute turn, where blissful synths meld with the sturdy acoustics for a lingering entrancement into the finale. “These spaces have sights, sounds, and smells that can transport you back to the past or give you a feeling of bittersweet calm,” Howard says of the track’s “physical space,” emphasis; it marks a thorough success from the project.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
