Redondo Red – “Roughed up and Rowdy”

/

The first single via Redondo Red‘s debut album, “Roughed up and Rowdy” traverses from debonair intrigue into an immersive expanse of twangy guitars and heartfelt strings. The project is led by actor and musician Brendon Garrett. Thematically, the track captures the temporary magic of fleeting circumstances and friendships, set within a momentum-filled structural rise. “Cheers to the one-night friends,” Garrett’s vocals declare initially, venturing thereafter into a series of sequences that enamor in their variety from jangling rock suaveness and string-adorned mystique.

As Garrett explains: “This song is about, “one night friends,” that you meet at a wedding, an airport, a party, a music festival, when you’re traveling, where ever it may be, and you hit it off, connect, and part ways and never see each other again. The older I get the less it happens but every now and then you meet a stranger that becomes an instant friend. This one’s for all the one night friends you’ve crossed paths with.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
