Oslo-based artist Erik Flaa unveils an artful, pulsing momentum on recent single “Waiting for a Change.” Subdued vocal introspection combines with head-nodding bass and synth tones for a climactic initial drive, culminating in a fierce rock envelopment as the vocals exude a title-touting yearning.
“Sit here waiting for a change, but nothing happens,” Flaa’s vocals let out there, delectably moody while still ascending in fervency. The final segment allures as well in its additional vocal layering, capping off a track that succeeds thoroughly in its stellar songwriting and textured production, coming via Norwegian Grammy winner Georg Buljo at Atlantis Studio.
