Mikey Demilio – “Spain”

/

Impressing in both its serene ruminations and glistening hooks, “Spain” is an engaging single from Mikey Demilio, via his new album Billionaires Club. Reminding fondly of George Clanton in its spacey, soaring pop inventiveness, “Spain” maneuvers from quaint initial verses — with subdued acoustic strums and hazy synth pads — into an invigorating vocal ascent. The “why you wanna give it up?” central hook induces replays with its gripping vocal delivery and synth-laden pop spirit.
