savannah – “on again” + “say”

/

Two recent tracks from savannah immerse with a dreamy, melodically atmospheric pop charm. “on again” and “say” excel with their lushly magnetic sounds, emitting a warming and replay-inducing quality in their quality songwriting and stylish productions — drawing from influences like Imogen Heap, Beach House, and CHVRCHES.

Released in April, “on again” captivates with dreamy synth buzzing and enchanting vocal components — from the reflective ethereal backing to the hooky lead, which ascends into a gorgeous “every time you call” smitten sense. “My partner and I wrote and produced this track to capture the emotional push and pull of a relationship on the brink, where boundaries blur and tensions resolve into something beautifully uncertain,” savannah says.

Meanwhile, the newly released “say” exudes a meditative folktronica in its layered vocal delights, soft acoustic strums, and elegant electronic textures. “Say what you wanna,” savannah sings as gliding, twangy guitars incorporate seamlessly. The track — described as “inspired by the vulnerability of unsaid words” — is another thorough success from savannah, who succeeds aesthetically and melodically on these two gems.

These and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
