Solitiverse delivers two standout tracks that explore purpose and vulnerability through dreamy guitars and honest lyricism on “Why?” and “Real Man.”
“Why?” engages right away with moody guitar jangles, as the “walk a thousand miles” introspective vocal prowess emerges. “One step, two step,” they continue as acoustics emerge with steady warmness, culminating in a swaying, hooky upon the “…never know why” acknowledgements; shades of Mac Demarco show fondly in the guitar tones and dazed vocal feeling. “I created this song with a question,” Solitiverse explains. “Why do we keep moving forward in this life? It’s human nature, but what truly lies beneath?” He continues: “I wrote the lyrics and performed over a beautiful, chill beat/instrumental created by CRMDRM & Jonah Bru.”
“Real Man” is another stunner, which per the artist was created “after deciding I’d be fully putting all my efforts to make music full time living in the future.” Twanging guitars and trickling mystique complement “if I fuck it up…” contemplations, into a fantastic “scared” hook with emotively compelling vocal work. “I wrote the lyrics in this song about taking this risk even though I’m afraid, it’s something I need to do,” Solitiverse explains. Both these tracks are surefire winners from the rising artist.
