SPF4K – “Hearts On Fire”

/

A blissful-sounding track that encourages to embrace the current moment, “Hearts On Fire” is a spacey pop charmer from SPF4K. Led by the California-based brothers Corey and Eric Martin, the project excels in its illuminated pop sound, particularly in a title-touting effervescence that excels amidst brass-y exuberance, twinkling keys, and playful bass. The vibrant vocal layers there prove stirring, as do the more initial debonair verses, showing shades of Beck. “Hearts On Fire” is a surefire earworm from the project.

“This song is about embracing the moment and living with your heart full of love love love,” Eric says. “Trying to not let your life just pass you by, observing life as time changes and generations come and go. Looking at my little children (7 and 4) and my grandparents and parents together and just thinking of how things are so different for them, and finding myself situated in between generations.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
