Ricochet The Kid – “All I Can Do”

/

A melodic rock sound shines on “All I Can Do,” a recent track from Michigan-based act Ricochet The Kid. Enamoring across both expressive guitar twangs and bass-fronted spaciousness, the track’s production shines alongside compelling lyrical vulnerability — capturing a fading sense of purpose in a relationship, captured in lines like ā€œI’m not anything at all except a place for you to fall and lay your head.ā€

The “you’re out on your own” vocal sentiments convey a certain detachment, consuming especially past the two-minute turn as shout-y vocal expressions infuse within layers of punchy guitars. “All I Can Do” is a clear winner from Ricochet The Kid.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
