“Death” is amongst the many standout tracks on Le Days‘ album Are You Here?, which caught our ears in May with its emotional, masterfully crafted arrangements — fixated within “the transformative feelings of identity, self-perception, shame and grief.” Its pulsating, sonar-like piano tone and simmering, dark strings result in an atmospheric instrumental tour-de-force, full of brooding mood. Now, the track has a new music video — watchable above — that captivates in its imagery. A haunting figure, its mouth etched shut, moves with hypnotic grace in darkness — beautiful though ominous, feeling like the dance of life and its gradual decay.
