Rome Is Not A Town – “Echoes of Love”

/

Swedish rockers Rome Is Not A Town delight with a heady rock sound on “Echoes of Love,” the title track from their forthcoming album, out in 2026. Sturdy percussion and jangling guitar riffs complement a steady vocal presence, referencing a “ticking bomb” and “for the moment, here and now” — firmly unveiling themes of time and looming demise.

Added guitar layers then bolster a fantastic title-bearing sequence, punctuated by twangy guitar playfulness. “Can’t tell if I’m living, or just making plans,” the vocals further, introspectively gripping alongside a lovely rock production that balances hypnotic warmness and fervent immediacy. This track has us firmly anticipating the Gothenburg-based band’s upcoming album.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
