Adelide – “Too Good For You”

Alternating seamlessly between suave mystique and expressively soulful aura, “Too Good For You” is a stellar track from Adelide. The Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter achieves a timeless enamoring with dynamic vocal prowess alongside, melding with twinkling keys, a funky bass drive, and an irresistible ascent into the “I’m too good for you” hooky allure. “Make me feel good, make me feel like I’m living in the moment,” her vocals continue into a glistening sequence, and then into a harmonious vocal backing and final hooky reprisal. “Too Good For You” is a lovely, replay-friendly output from Adelide.

Both “Too Good For You” and “You’ll Be Fine” are tracks that she wrote, framing different perspectives on a traumatic experience from her teenage years. Adelide explains: ““Too Good For You” (releasing on 10/24) is written from the perspective of the perpetrator, and “You’ll Be Fine” (releasing on 11/7) describes the incident and its lingering consequences from my point of view.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
