Kickstarting a productive 2026 for the Swansea, UK-based trio, “Sleep it back” finds New Wolves expanding seamlessly from laid-back, hypnotic doses of guitars and synths into a soaring, effervescent expanse. Haunting “fighting on” vocal layers signal the first growth, shimmering with layers of brighter tones that drive into cinematic, sweeping strings just prior to the two-minute turn. The track continues to delight from there, infusing bursting brass as the vocals maintain their cool aura. “Sleep it back” is a gorgeously melodic output from New Wolves, who have a dozen or so songs lined up throughout the year.
