Juno Empire – “Panpsychist”

/

Shifting between bursting synth-pop color and hazier psychedelic intrigue, “Panpsychist” is another gem of a track from Juno Empire. The project of Alexander Thomas caught our ears the past couple years with infectious standouts like “Gold Eyes” and “Seeds,” and now “Panpsychist” continues his knack for hook-filled, atmospheric pop productions.

Spacey, serene synth pads commence the track, quickly complemented by soaring vibrancy and playful percussive flair. “Is it all there? Is it aware of me?” Thomas’ vocals let out, lushly caressing with a touch of effects, lending a futuristic quality that matches well with the synth tones. “Am I shaded with everything created? Should I take it that we’re integrated?” the vocals ascend, culminating in blaring synth energy that illuminates the mix. “Panpsychist” dazzles across both its subdued moments of introspection and fervent replay-inducing hooks.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
