DA-MOVEMENT – “All Black Everything” (Remix)

Chicago-based act DA-MOVEMENT unites local icons AK (of Do or Die) and Never (of Crucial Conflict) on West Side anthem “All Black Everything” (Remix). Founded by Pay and Qraft, the collective preserves the melodic soul of the late Johnny P. (John Pigram) alongside guests J. Harris, AK, and Never. Together, they deliver high-volume riding music that centers on memorable storytelling and Midwest hip-hop heritage.

A blaring siren quickly expands into a jubilant, melodic production — propelled by cheery wordless vocal backings, glitzy synths, and infectious rhythms. The lead vocals emit a soulful charisma, then shifting into a fluidly impactful hip-hop delivery with title-touting entrancement. Brass-y tones bolster “people playing games” introspections, building into the anthemic “you can catch me” singing vocal switch-up. The “it’s all black everything” commencement at most verses signals a vocalist alternation, with each of them dazzling with a hooky, fervent push forward.

An especially impactful moment takes hold in the “my head in the clouds” sequence, where a slight halt to the beat enthralls amidst the dreamy vocal feeling. The triumphant beat returns thereafter, as does the soulful “you can catch me” vocal energy. “All Black Everything” delights in its palpable energy and embrace of the classic Chicago West Side sound, heavy on both replay-inducing beat-making and emotively powerful vocal deliveries. “All Black Everything” (Remix) is a definitive success from DA-MOVEMENT.
