Memoryy – “Finally Found The Pieces”

A moody, late-night atmospheric pop introspection compels on “Finally Found The Pieces,” another resonating track from Memoryy. The artist behind the act, Shaun Hettinger, describes it as exploring “the quiet clarity that comes after a breakup – when everything finally makes sense, but it’s too late to change anything.” Memoryy also impressed recently with the track “Memory From A Dream” — and both these singles precede the upcoming full-length Exit Interview.

Sounding like a cross of Sade’s soulful melancholy and Washed Out’s hypnotic grooves, “Finally Found The Pieces” excels with an artful mixture of twangy, melancholic guitars and nocturnal synth lingering. “I finally found the pieces of your heart,” affecting vocals let out, with muted guitar tones driving to harmonious vocal layers and haunting analog synth textures. “Finally Found The Pieces” is another Memoryy standout that has us firmly anticipating the forthcoming Exit Interview.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
