Chilean metal guitarist Gabriel Hidalgo contributes guitars throughout, including a standout solo, adding a heavier edge to the duo’s nocturnal aesthetic.
A late-night ’80s nostalgia develops with stylish intensity throughout the track, commencing with a sturdy rhythm section. Throbbing percussion and synth-bass move with pulsing infectiousness, before being joined by soaring guitar work that oozes throwback charm. “Midnight hour, in my car,” a solemnly melodic vocal presence follows, its “city sleeps, but I’m awake” furthering that nocturnal atmospheric setting.
