Music of Synergia’s “Fading Echoes” is an affecting dark electronic single from Vienna-based Valerian Steel, the artist and producer behind Manufracture Music. Working with vocalist Lyz, Steel uses the side project to explore the darker, more cinematic side of his analogue-driven production, creating a meeting point between electronic textures, industrial influence, and the atmospheric sound of A.C.I. (Analog Core Industrial).
A beautifully haunting sense of momentum is delivered throughout the track’s first minute, weaving wordless spectral harmonies and dynamic electronics, both in the form of caressing pads and pulsating, colorful energy. “Shadows linger where you used to sleep,” Lyz’s delivery emerges, exuding a yearning dose of lovely mystique. A heightened pitch showcases past the first-minute turn, captivating as spacey synth arpeggiations assemble alongside, before a murkier, industrial-embracing bridge mixes the range up further.
“Falling slow, into the undertow,” the debonair lead continues in the verses, setting the scene via a series of emotively visceral descriptors, before the more elongated, higher-pitched refrain returns. The midpoint delights in its transition into an eerier atmospheric realm with spacey synth elements and grimy bass undercurrents, before the “walking blind” line appears. “Fading Echoes” is a dynamic electronic success, succeeding across both atmospheric mystery and heightened emotive ardor.
