A replay-inducing power-pop appeal glows on “You Don’t Trend,” a stellar single from Kansas City-based band The Creepy Jingles. Released via their new mini album Against All Opps, which features new members alongside singer-songwriter Jocelyn Olivia Nixon, the track delights in its mixture of catchy guitars, spacey synths, and witty, modern lyricism. “Would you kiss me if I’m contagious? Would you fuck me if I were famous?” the lead delivery inquires, with references to “nepo baby” and modern social clout delivering a delectably biting edge. “You Don’t Trend” is a blast of fun from The Creepy Jingles.
