Ettore Bandel – “Tears”

Italian composer and producer Ettore Bandel brings cinematic piano writing and melodic production together on “Tears,” a dream-pop single featuring vocalist Elena Canti and the first preview of his upcoming EP Hallucinations. Following classical and jazz piano studies in Milan, Bandel shapes the track around intimate vocals, atmospheric textures, and a quietly expansive sense of emotion.

“Tears” delights in its hypnotic dream-pop glow. Canti’s lead presence is lushly absorbing throughout, while the mellow keys and steady percussion drive to the glistening pull past the one-minute mark. Expanded backing harmonies arrive soon thereafter, before shifting back into the lounge-friendly calming disposition. The ghostly harmonic layers re-emerge just before the three-minute mark, while gorgeous strings enter subsequently, emitting a spine-tingling orchestral pull. “Tears” is a definitive success from Ettore Bandel.
