June Always – “Ghosts”

“Ghosts” is a lovely new track from June Always, melding jangly guitars and mellow keys amidst an ethereal vocal feeling. “I wrote ‘Ghosts’ about the patterns we keep falling back into, even when we know better,” the artist explains. The lushly harmonious vocals throughout capture those patterns well. “Always dancing around the same old ghosts,” is let out before accompanied further by a blissful array of jangling guitar delights and starry-eyed keys. “Were we ever really trying to hear the same thing?” the vocals envelop during a particularly stirring segment. “Ghosts” is a lovely piece of songwriting from June Always, poignantly capturing the lure of familiar patterns and emotions.
