Constant Supply – “The Misanthropic Phase”

/

“The Misanthropic Phase” is a just-released track from Constant Supply, a four-piece from Donegal, Ireland. The track bears a fun resemblance to The Pixies, especially when the hook first hits at the 55-second mark. The confident vocal push is quickly accompanied by a playful synth line, meshing well with the twangy guitar and Frank Black-esque vocal croon. The bass-heavy bustling and uniquely interwoven vocal sample keeps the verses interesting, though the track stars with its chorus, achieving both a hypnotic and very catchy feel. Further impressing is the track’s second half, featuring an acoustical interlude of sorts at the mid-way point, alongside a lush synth pad and eventual brass. “The Misanthropic Phase” is a very fun listen.
