SPiN – “Dig Your Own Grave”

Off their new EP Meant to Rise, “Dig Your Own Grave” is a rockin’ track from SPiN, a Philly-based alt-rock act. Starting with up-front vocals, steady percussion, and bursts of guitar, the track shifts into gear at the thirty-second mark with a melodic vocal turn accompanied by subtle backing vocals. “Dig-dig-dig your own grave,” the lead sings, a simple yet catchy incorporation on a track that doesn’t defy stylistic norms or gravitate from a conventional structure route, but still convinces with energy and hard rockin’ fervor nonetheless. The act, whose previously released cover of “Happy Together” appeared on CBS’ Stalker in addition to reaching #1 on the iTunes indie rock charts, looks to rise again with this new release.
