Video: Chromatics – “Back From the Grave”

Chromatics released a video for “Back From the Grave”, directed by frequent collaborator Alberto Rossini. The footage was shot in 2010 at Rossini’s chalet, and the assortment of vague close-ups and neon reflections provides just an enjoyable dose of nostalgia, just like Chromatics’ odes to ’80s synth-pop and post-punk.

The track is off Chromatics’ upcoming album Kill for Love, their first since 2007’s Night Drive. The group got hot recently for appearing in the excellent Drive soundtrack, so the timing seems nice for the new release. It was originally to be released in February, but delays have pushed it back to later this year.
