High Rule – “FOMO”

/

high rule fomo

Chicago-based duo High Rule work off playful synths, charismatic lead vocals, and punchy female vocal samples as a percussive element on infectious new track “FOMO”, which reminds of Hot Chip in its part-nonchalant part-energetic vein of synth-pop that plays off simple yet contagious rhythms and melodies rooted in both contemporary pop and nostalgic funk. Comprised of artists Buoy and Seis, who met in 4th grade over a mutual love for the Legend of Zelda video game franchise and started creating music when attending the University of Wisconsin together, the duo hit the #2 position on Spotify’s Global Viral top 50 chart and look to continue their rising success with “FOMO”.
