RADIOCASTER – “美しい骨” (Beautiful Bones)

Japanese quartet RADIOCASTER crafts a commanding, fuzzed-out rock sound on recent single “Beautiful Bones,” drawing from influences like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and Dinosaur Jr. in its textured rock sound. An immediate, ominous drone drives into a heavy bass undercurrent and dreamy percussive entrancement, reminding of MBV’s ability to weave washed-out guitar tones amidst a sturdy bass presence. The lead vocals ensue with soaring allure, escalating to a hastened, emotive demeaner past the one-minute turn. Delighting across both sludgy, introspective moments and fervent vocal ascents, “美しい骨” (Beautiful Bones) is a wholly memorable rocker from RADIOCASTER.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
