La Poré, the project of Nick Samson, debuted this past June with the nocturnal, dance-friendly track “Close“, touting ’80s-inspired R&B-tinged pop goodness with heaps of atmosphere. The project from Columbus, Ohio finds a sweet spot again with the new track “Sad Girl”, with Samson’s yearning vocals meshing well with a bubbly synth arpeggio and dark R&B arsenal. It’s another catchy and atmospheric success, one that’s already stuck in my head.
