Brent Brown – “Cool As Cubes”

Carefree vibes and sunshine-friendly melodies permeate throughout “Cool As Cubes,” a new track from Brent Brown’s new album Heartbreaker’s Club. Brown, a Chicago-based singer/songwriter who has developed a strong following – especially after YouTube attention with the likes of “Mind Over Melody” – shows infectious power-pop appeal on “Cool As Cubes,” which touts a fun synth-tinged chorus that meshes well with his acoustical shuffles and, eventually, a suave guitar-laden bridge just after the two-minute mark. This is an easy-listening, pop-friendly new single from an artist with ample radio-friendly appeal and charisma, showing successful exploration into the more power-pop side of things, while remaining cool as a cube.
