Perth engineer, writer, and producer Mat Cammarano wowed last November with “Somebody Else“, providing a reprieve from the incoming cold (here stateside) with a breezy melodic flow that built into a lush crescendo fit for summer and blue skies, apt since Australia’s summer began on December 1st.
“Mortal Man” is CAMARANO’s newest track, suaver and chillier than “Somebody Else”, with nocturnal synth lines pulsating alongside suave vocals. The “just a mortal man” hook sees melodic expansion, the soundscape elevating with memorable charm during the spacey, minimalist bridge around 01:43 before gearing back into the synths and buzzing rhythms. Even with just three tracks out thus far, CAMARANO is building buzz for good reason.
