Sgmaniak – “Fire”

//

“Fire” is a single off Sgmaniak’s debut album No Sleep, which releases on Friday. The track touts quite the structural adventure, beginning with a nocturnal electro-pop groove with a funky R&B tinge. Cue the orchestra at 01:17, where strings quiver and brass emits a mellow roar as tribal-like backing vocals align with Sgmaniak’s lead. Clearly, he possesses an ability to incorporate both 808s and captivating symphonic pushes with a seamless delight. The “to set the world on fire!” vocal exultation marks the final segment, where a symphonic-pop push akin to Matthew Herbert closes this beautiful track tidily.
