Blue Realization is the Toronto-based project of Oscar Ota, who aims to “express the beauty of infinite consciousness in a form of indie music.” He composes all music at his home studio. “Longing” is a lovely, lush representation of Ota’s sound, with twinkling keys and gentle guitar undercurrent leading the gauzy aesthetic. The vocals (in Japanese) emerge around the two-minute mark, providing a soaring and translucent presence that nicely accompanies the gliding guitar arpeggio. The track is blissfully atmospheric throughout, providing a look at a project with heaps of potential.
