Moon Loves Honey – “Not Only In My Dreams”

//

The delightful “Not Only In My Dreams” is the first of numerous singles to be released in the coming months from Moon Loves Honey, the project of Danish songwriter and producer Jeppe Dengsø. His dreamy hybrid of rock and pop was previously featured with the track “Before I Crash.” Released today, “Not Only In My Dreams” rides initially on bright keys and a chirpy vocal melody, the bass lead-in at 00:45 adding a dance-friendly pull. Guitars increasingly build around the vocals with hypnotic pleasantries. A seamless transition around 02:38 to more contemplative, synth-forward realms provides a dose of serenity, with the vocals gradually building to the reprisal of previous shimmering verses. “Not Only In My Dreams” is another great track from Moon Loves Honey.

“Not Only In My Dreams” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2018’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock.
