Dylan Rodrigue – “White Moon”

/

“White Moon” is the second single off Dylan Rodrigue’s upcoming LP Cat’s Game, which is releasing on on Jan 25th. It’s a pleasure to premiere the track, which meshes power-pop infectiousness with emotive indie-folk in the vein of Elliott Smith and Conor Oberst. The track’s themes revolve around the “moon looking down at the earth and seeing all of the chaos and destruction.”

“It’s also about being a human from the earth and needing some kind of salvation to help transcend the bleak reality,” Dylan says. “The moon takes on the role of an omnipresent being that can bring about a sense of hope when there appears to be none.” Dylan Rodrigue shows a strong, memorable sound here that has me anticipating Cat’s Game.

“White Moon” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2018’ Spotify playlist.
