Molina – “Venus”

Molina is a Copenhagen-based producer/musician who impresses on new track “Venus,” a trippy synth-pop success featuring soaring vocals and striking melodic turns. As such, there’s a stylistic reminiscence to Kate Bush, which is always welcome. A live rhythm section converges with these synths and Molina’s vocals, crafting a dreamy vein of pop that entices ample replay. The excellent hook at 02:28 features the vocals assume a ghostly, angelic quality as guitars and synths mingle with seamless precision. “Venus” is one of the more enthralling tracks so far this year.
