Paint Me Naked – “Fantasy”

Paint Me Naked are a German trio whose latest EP, Fantasy, unleashes doses of ’80s dream-pop and post-punk nostalgia. Melancholic synths, hypnotic female vocals, and post-punk rhythms comprise the arsenal on the EP and throughout highlight “Fantasy,” whose music video we’re happy to premiere. The grainy beach-side footage fits the aesthetic well — somewhere between twinkling synth-pop and gloomily nostalgic post-punk. The project, which formed in December 2016, are kicking off the year in great form with this strong EP.

“Fantasy” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Shoegaze / Post-Punk / Dream-Pop.
