Eddy Yang – “A New City”

/

Based in the Los Angeles area, Eddy Yang is an indie-rock artist whose latest EP, A New City, was inspired by a trip to NYC and recorded in his hometown Los Angeles. “I remember being inspired and wide-eyed while walking through NYC at night,” he says. “A New City EP is about the feeling of being young and alive, when the world is still innocent and full of possibilities. It’s also about finding yourself – who you’re meant to be.”

The EP’s self-titled features a calming rhythmic guitar backing with twangy lead adornments, fitted nicely over Yang’s passionate vocals. It’s a nice showing, one that showcases Yang’s sound well and lures listeners into the rest of the release.

“A New City” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2019’ Spotify playlist.
