Fevrmoon – “The Work”

//

“The Work” begins with murky engrossment, as lingering strings permeate alongside minimalist percussion and sporadic vocals. Exuberant brass emerges from the darkness, for just a moment, shortly after the one-minute mark. By now, the atmospheric prowess of this duo — comprised of Jon Weston and Anton Patzner — clearly shows. They form the project Fevrmoon, and “The Work” is their engaging new single. As the two-minute mark approaches, and the brass assumes a more frequently comfortable position in the arsenal, the act’s ability to infuse infectious melodies with creative, avant-garde soundscapes is also fully evident. We’re definitely looking to hearing more from Fevrmoon.

“The Work” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Innovative Electronic Music.
