Obil – “Your Name”

Smooth guitar work and spacey synths adorn the beginning of “Your Name,” a newly released track from NYC band Obil. The fluid, melodic track pursues a sound designed to “evoke the peaceful simplicity of a summertime love affair.” Miguel Martinez’ serene vocals lend nicely to the mixture of guitars and synths, providing a mellow melodic accompaniment. The band, who met in 2018 while working together in the professional club music scene in NYC, melds their background as touring musicians with talented ears for melody to result in pleasing tracks like “Your Name.”

“Your Name” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2019’ Spotify playlist.
