Mother Sun – “Sunny Tuesday”

“Sunny Tuesday” is the first single from Mother Sun’s upcoming 10-song debut album, out in August. The band, hailing from British Columbia, deal in an exciting sound rooted in psych-pop and rock. This particular track reminds fondly of Television, the “that’s hard to ignore,” hook playing with contagious appeal. The two-minute mark onward shows some excellent psych-friendly guitar work alongside an enjoyably bustling bass line. “Sunny Tuesday” definitely puts Mother Sun on my radar; I’ll be anticipating their upcoming debut album, for sure.

“Sunny Tuesday” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.
