The Blemish – “Say Hi”

/

The Blemish show a dazzling, funky pop sound on new track “Say Hi.” The project of Bo Haan and and Emin Karimi, who impressed with the track “California” in 2017, The Blemish incorporate melodic guitar licks, ’80s synth tones, and a rhythmic funk on this catchy effort. The ooh-ooh bridge and “say hi, baby,” vocal hook are wholly effective, the slap-bass and vibrant synths accompanying the charismatic vocals well. The Blemish are gearing up to release their next album, and “Say Hi” shows their sound at its most confident to date. I’ll definitely be anticipating this one.

“Say Hi” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Funk, Soul, and R&B.
