La Poré – “Green”

Impressing previously with the tracks “Close” and “Sad Girl,” La Poré has another striking single in the recently released “Green.” The project of Nick Samson, La Poré has shown a firm grasp of effervescent synth-pop with R&B flair before, and that sound continues here. The pulsing synths and vocal yearning — “called me up at 2AM,” — combine for an emotive, catchy success from Samson.

Per the press release the track “contemplates the dangerous implications of miscommunication in relationships and the ruminations that often leave one emotionally paralyzed.”

“Green” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.
