“Anastasia” is a new track from Toronto artist Stevie Zita. “Inspired by a troubled girlfriend,” the effort rides on a hazy assortment of yearning vocals, twinkling synths, and hypnotic post-punk rhythms. Melodically, there’s a bit of an enjoyable likeness to The Beatles’ “She’s Leaving Home” going on. Stevie Zita impresses with a melodic and nostalgic sound here, emitting a sense of retrospective yearning. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more.
