Stevie Zita – “Anastasia”

“Anastasia” is a new track from Toronto artist Stevie Zita. “Inspired by a troubled girlfriend,” the effort rides on a hazy assortment of yearning vocals, twinkling synths, and hypnotic post-punk rhythms. Melodically, there’s a bit of an enjoyable likeness to The Beatles’ “She’s Leaving Home” going on. Stevie Zita impresses with a melodic and nostalgic sound here, emitting a sense of retrospective yearning. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more.

“Anastasia” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.
