Summer Crowd Stereo – “Here Alive”

//

Touting hazy, laid-back guitar tones fit for lazy summer days and a vocal melody reminiscent of The Go-Betweens, “Here Alive” is a new track from Summer Crowd Stereo. The Hamburg-based project is fronted by a former member of The Beauty of O.K., an act featured back in 2007.  The artist was previously known for an all-acoustic approach, though with this track the singer/songwriter intimacy lifts into a more fully-formed vein of power-pop and rock. Melancholic, retrospective lyrics accompany the easy-going vibes of the track, adding depth to this accessibly melodic success. “Here Alive” is a pleasant, accessible effort from Summer Crowd Stereo.

“Here Alive” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Folk-Rock.
