New Wolves – “Same Two Songs”

“Same Two Songs” is a catchy, hypnotic track from UK act New Wolves. The first release from the band, “Same Two Songs” touts a bass-y synth and ethereal vocal presence, gradually accompanied by a driving acoustical backbone and wispy keys. The title-referencing hook plays enticingly, especially at 02:06, when the acoustics and eerie keys provide a consuming accompaniment to the forlorn vocals. The repetition and background additions in the final minute makes for enticingly hypnotic production. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more from this new act.

“Same Two Songs” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2019’ Spotify playlist.
