The longing, emotive vocal presence plays with resonance amidst the clicking synths and driving percussion. The track builds with momentum; the last minute in particular features repeating vocals and swelling synth-pop assortments, reminding very much of Erasure. “This song is about a mother giving advice to her daughter who is about to have a child of her own,” the artist says. The track succeeds with a convincing aesthetic, contagious melody, and strong thematic focus.
