Resurrection Fern – “Savanna”

/

Resurrection Fern’s track “Savanna” is a stirring folk ballad. At just over two minutes, the track emphasizes a subtle percussive build-up alongside hypnotic acoustics and haunting vocals. The artist, Fern, is a popular Twitch partner, with her channel here. Fern utilizes the Twitch platform to connect with fans, which plays well considering the intimate style of folk presented here. With the vocal talents and lushly developing songwriting fit for acoustic settings, it’s no surprise Fern has attained the Twitch following. Following October 2018 debut album Beyond the Trees, Fern has finished recording her second album at Station West studio in Nashville. Look for the album in the near future.

Fern elaborates on the track below:

“This track means more to me than anything I’ve released before. Partially, because the songwriter is a close friend and I am humbled he entrusted me to share his art with the world. This is also the first time I’ve felt more personally connected to a song written by someone else than I am with my originals. Since I know the inspiration behind the song, and I love my friend very much, I have even more motivation to share it with the world.”

“Savanna” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2019’ Spotify playlist.
