Scuba Dvala – “Mumble”

/

“Mumble” is another gorgeously melodic track from Scuba Dvala, whose 2018 track “Soy Boy” drew considerable replay from me. The Swedish artist shows a more psychedelic, retrospective tone here, comparatively. Spacey vocals and synths open the track, bearing a tonal familiarity to Toro y Moi. The guitar entry alongside more effervescent synths, around 01:10, signals a fantastic hook. The grooving guitar tone in the following bridge helps ease back into the entrancing verses with seamless precision. “Mumble” flies by, thanks to its melodic pull and aesthetic synth-pop elegance.

“Mumble” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Catchy Electro and Synth-Pop.
