Mangled Jangles – “Cost of Living”

“Cost of Living” is a catchy new track from Los Angeles-based act Mangled Jangles. Playful synth perkiness and suave guitars combine with fluidly melodic vocals for an accessible sound. The synth-laden interlude around 02:26 provides effective variation, retaining the preceding verses’ playfulness while expanding a bit. “Cost of Living” is the type of track that comes across as quaintly effective pop upon first listen, though then sticks in your head for days after. Mangled Jangles show a knack for this throughout the tracks on their Soundcloud, so I’m anticipating more goodness coming from them soon.
