Chotto Ghetto – “New Horror”

/

Chotto Ghetto are a six-piece from Los Angeles, churning out an excitable rock sound steeped in post-hardcore, punk, and metal influences. The band’s new full-length WILDFIRE is described as a “sci-fi-themed concept album,” — and specifically a “loud, anthemic, ambitious, apocalyptic political sci-fi thriller.” The industrial guitar tones and forceful energy reminds fondly of ¡Forward, Russia!, particularly on the track “New Horror” — and especially when the rhythm section hits in full past the one-minute mark. The passionate vocal presence and sweltering guitar distortion combine with frantic percussion for an excitable feel.
