Rob Alexander – “We Own This Town Tonight”

/

Previously impressing with the track “When I’m Gone (For George Michael),” South Florida-based artist Rob Alexander expands upon his adult contemporary rock sound on new album Being Myself. A physician Anesthesiologist by day, Alexander shows nice range throughout — from lush saxophone-laden ballads like “Never Gonna Let You Go” to vibrant rockers like “We Own This Town Tonight,” one of my favorite album cuts. The track touts energetic enthusiasm throughout, reminding fondly aesthetically of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. The track does well in providing a catchy, brisk number among several more dramatic, subdued album cuts. Stream Being Myself in full on Spotify here.

“We Own This Town Tonight” and other memorable tracks from November can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2019’ Spotify playlist.
