DERYK G. – “Commit”

/

“Commit” is an eclectic stylistic showing from DERYK G., blending alternative hip-hop and R&B with a touch of punk-rock. A suave bass line and industrial synth tones complement a brisk hip-hop vocal push to start. The “I want you to want me,” guitar-forward section that follows is a fun twist, with infectious balancing of rock and hip-hop schematics. The Chicago-based artist impresses with “Commit,” a track that impresses in its stylistic balance and nostalgic-sounding production. I’m looking forward to hearing more from DERYK G., following this new track and last year’s impressive Perdí EP, below:

“Commit” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2020’ Spotify playlist.
